The Japanese magazine claimed that orders for the game have been delayed indefinitely, with speculation suggesting that it is about to reemerge as a Ubisoft release. There have also been rumours that the title could be rebranded as a Driver sequel.
Both Midway and Ubisoft are yet to comment on the speculation.
The game was originally scheduled to arrive on March 20 for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
