EA, Activision clash over 'Brutal Legend'

Vivendi initially intended to publish the game, which is being developed by Double Fine, but opted against proceeding with the project following the merger with Activision.
Brutal Legend was then picked up by EA and is now slated for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 during autumn this year.
Activision Blizzard has since contacted the EA legal team to claim that it still owns publishing rights for the game, reports Variety.
The company has claimed that it had not terminated negotiations with Double Fine regarding the title, which could potentially make EA's agreement invalid.
However, an EA spokesperson told the entertainment publication's The CutScene blog: "We doubt that Activision would try to sue.
"That would be like a husband abandoning his family and then suing after his wife meets a better looking guy."
