The DSi, expected to retail for £149.99, will be available in black and white, reports Kotaku.
Details for the US release were revealed earlier this week, scheduled for two days later on April 5.
The handheld will include several new features, such as two VGA cameras, larger screens and an SD card slot for the DSiWare service available from launch.
As it has added region locking and removed the Game Boy Advance cartridge port, the DS Lite model will continue to be available for games such as Guitar Hero: On Tour.
