While the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will remain untouched, publisher EA will expand the franchise like Dead Space: Extraction, with hints at a later release date and unique story, according to The Cut Scene.
Heavy metal adventure Brutal Legend, which was picked up by EA following the Vivendi and Activision merger, will feature voice work by Jack Black.
The game will be developed by Double Fine, studio of the legendary Tim Schafter, whose previous works include Monkey Island, Day Of The Tentacle, Grim Fandango and Psychonauts.
