Despite the lack of launch titles, the DSi is behind only the Wii, PSP and PS3 in opening weekend sales.
It was also revealed that Nintendo's DS update outsold every other console combined over the past weekend.
ChartTrack's Chris Poole told MCV: "It's difficult to tell if the momentum will continue into the week, as much of the sales would have been pre-ordered. There was also a slight spike in DS software."
The DSi launched last Friday at a cost of £149.99.
