Published Sunday, Apr 26 2009, 18:00 BST | By Mark Langshaw

According to figures from sales tracker Media Create, the PS3 sold 62,527 units from April 13 to April 19, compared to just 16,701 the previous week. This sales surge coincides with the Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, which included the demo as bonus material.
Final Fantasy XIII will be released as a PS3 exclusive in Japan and is expected to arrive this winter. In Europe and North America, the game will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3, with a release window yet to be announced.
Its predecessor, Final Fantasy XII for PlayStation 2, has sold over 5 million copies worldwide to date.
