Paul O'Conner, co-founder of the iPhone game developer, told Pocket Gamer that the receiver could soon evolve into a home gaming system.
"The user base is growing like crazy and I believe Apple has some game-changing surprises in store," he said.
"For example, I fully expect them to make a flank march on the living room with game content via a repositioned Apple TV sometime in the next year or two."
This follows Apple's recent filing of a patent application for a Wii-style remote controller for use with the set-top box, according to AppleInsider.
