Launching on May 22, The Big Gaming Weekend will feature four days of game-related content, including reviews, soundtracks and DJ leaderboards.
There will also be a poll to find the best game of all time. A panel of industry experts will compile a list of their top 100 games, while Radio 1 listeners are invited to select their top three via an online poll.
DJ Scott Mills will launch the poll on Friday May 22 during his morning slot and the results will be broadcast on Bank Holiday Monday.
Over the weekend, the station’s Live Lounge will be turned into a gaming arcade, where listeners can follow Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJs as they go head-to-head with each other.
