Heather Mills was axed as the face of the Bionic Commando promotional campaign due to her fee demands, according to The Sun.

Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife was allegedly approached to be the face of the Capcom video game due to her work with amputees, but was dropped after demanding ten times her original offer.

In addition to a six-figure sum, Mills also wanted a character based around her to appear in the game, which stars Faith No More's Mike Patton as a soldier with a bionic arm.

"She was insistent she wouldn’t do it for a smaller fee and said the producers should make her the star," said a source.

"The request was way, way over budget and they certainly weren’t keen on basing the game on her."

Mills responded to the claims on her Twitter account, saying that she was offered the chance to promote the title but would only do so if Capcom donated a large sum to charity.

"The stingy company came back saying they couldn't, what happened to charitable businesses, seems they just want to exploit and give nothing," she wrote.
