According to Kotaku, the firm's chief executive Yves Guillemot said that Apple's iPhone is a "new entrant" in the gaming business, but added that he does not think the company will stop there.
He hinted that the Apple TV set-top-box, among others, could soon provide a new range of console platforms as the product becomes "more powerful".
"What we see for the future is there will also be a big announcement in interfaces," he explained.
"It will not only happen in consoles but also happen on those TV boxes as well."
Guillemot also said that there is a "lot of energy" being devoted to improving the current generation of gaming systems.
He added that Ubisoft is already "working on some of the elements that will appeal in the next generation".
Earlier this month, Appy Entertainment claimed that "Apple has some game-changing surprises in store".
