'Dragon Age' given October release

Billed as a spiritual successor to the Baldur’s Gate franchise, the game was originally confirmed back in 2004, but no further announcements were forthcoming until after EA's acquisition of BioWare and developer Pandemic Studios in 2007.
According to EA chief executive John Riccitiello, the game is shaping up to be "epic in scale, quality and innovation".
Riccitiello also confirmed that the game's recent delay was to enable the publisher to launch the PC version alongside its PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts. "Too much quality can make you reassess your options," he added.
Dragon Age: Origins will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 20.
