The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will feature five modes, including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Control Points, One Shall Stand (assassination) and Battle For The Shards (capture the flag).
Also revealed is that alongside the standard roster of Autobots and Decepticons such as Optimus Prime and Megatron, Aerialbot and Protectobot will be available.
Multiplayer will feature active transformations at any time, with each character supporting a unique vehicle form, as well as the ability to deploy turrets, heal and access a variety of weapons.
Developer Luxoflux also confirmed post-launch downloadable content - however, it is unknown whether this is for single player or online.
The game will be released for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PS2, DS and PSP later this month.
