Launched today, the title enables players to capture a photo of a friend or well-known personality and then apply it to a character to fight against.
As the firm's brand director Paul O'Connor says: "If it has a face, you can fight it.
"Take a photo of a friend or bring in a face from your camera roll, and in seconds you're fighting them face-to-face, with an arsenal of attacks and facial damage for your foe."
Available from the App Store, the game comes with built-in fighter Big Ben, while additional pre-formed enemies will be released soon.
Project director Emmanuel Valdez added that FaceFighter offers combos and weapons, as well as "multiple difficulty levels" to appeal to a variety of gamers.
