The majority of titles available on UMD will be on the PlayStation Network store by October 1, according to CVG.
Sony’s social media manager Jeff Rubenstein said: "It's my understanding that just about everything hitting after October 1 will be available for download."
Revealed at E3, the PSP Go will be the first handheld in which users will have to download games in order to play.
Sony has said that they are also working on a solution to allow UMD owners to play their releases on the system, hinting at a possible trade-in scheme.
