Valve avoids 'complicated' PS3

The developer recently announced at the E3 Expo that it is working on survival shooter Left 4 Dead 2, but this will not be released on Sony's console.
Speaking to Loot-Ninja, the game's project lead Tom Leonard said that this is due to the complex hardware in the PS3, meaning the other platforms "are just more straightforward".
He explained: "We can focus on what we want to do, which is make game experiences, instead of sweating bullets over obscure architectural decisions they make with [Sony's] platform.
"I didn't come into this business in the '90s because of some technical fetish. I came in because I wanted to give people experiences that made them have fun."
Meanwhile, over 20,000 people have signed up to a protest group on the Steam Community website to register their disapproval of Left 4 Dead 2.
The game is due for release just a year after its predecessor, which the protesters claim makes the original "an obsolete purchase".
