Following developer feedback, the service will be retitled to "increase understanding and discoverability" of the budget titles available from Xbox Live, according to the system's blog.
The change will be introduced along with XNA Game Studio 3.1, the update to the scripting programme which will add party play and avatar support.
The next Xbox dashboard upgrade will also include user ratings, a heavily requested feature for sorting the 400-strong lineup of games on the service.
The name change and new features will go live in late July.
