The first downloadable Green Day songs will be released as a three-pack, taken from the band’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown.
The DLC pack, containing the songs ‘21 Guns’, ‘Know Your Enemy’ and ‘East Jesus Nowhere’, will be available via online storefronts from July 7.
"We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix," said Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. "They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music."
Additional Green Day content will be announced at a later date.
