According to TG Daily, Ballmer told audiences at the Executive's Club of Chicago that a new 360 console would launch in 2010.
He said that the new 360 will feature a "natural interface" and be "really, really close" to an actuality. It will have a built-in camera and the ability to recognise movement and voice.
The announcement comes after Microsoft denied reports linking it to an upgraded 360 console with built-in motion technology.
