'Modern Warfare 2' to 'suffer from COD cut'

A survey of US gamers conducted by the firm indicated that consumer awareness stood at 40% when the title carried the full COD association, reports Gamasutra.
However, the figure dropped to only 20% when the game was rebranded without it.
OTX GamePlan Insights boss Nick Williams told the website: "The Call Of Duty brand association essentially doubles the awareness for the game. That is quite a remarkable statistic."
Despite this, the firm said that support for the title is still four times the average, meaning that it will likely prove a huge seller when released in November.
"Even without the Call Of Duty association, it is still perceived as a must-have title," Williams added.
