Speaking to Joystiq, studio head John Carmack discussed his company's intentions regarding Apple's portable platform.
"I expect to have an iPhone release every two or three months for the next year, as we go through our classics line, and I move over that I'd probably do Doom RPG, and we'd have to go with Wolfenstein RPG, and eventually do something Rage-themed on there," he explained.
It was recently reported that the studio was bought out by Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media, who are supportive of id's plans to invest in the iPhone.
"ZeniMax will be fully supportive," said its CEO Robert Altman. "We believe that market is a growth market and it's something we want to be involved in."
It has also been rumoured that original titles based on Bethesda IPs, such as Fallout and Elder Scrolls, could also appear on the App Store in the future.
