According to Variety, the game is due to be released in late 2010 and will feature Agent 47 at a low point in his life as an assassin.
The game and film will reportedly see 47 required to build himself back up mentally and physically to regain his status as the world's best hitman.
The movie will be written by Kane And Lynch and Uncharted movie writer Kyle Ward.
