Canal+ coming to Xbox 360 in France

Under the deal, gamers will be able to watch 3,000 films, as well as TV programmes and French Ligue 1 football matches on-demand via their consoles.
This will be made possible by an Xbox Live rollout of the operator's video-on-demand service CanalPlay and its specialist football channel Foot+.
It is also part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to widen the appeal of the Xbox 360 beyond a hardcore gaming audience.
The US firm has claimed that around a third of potential consumers for the console are now female, while 42% are parents with children under the age of 18, reports Reuters.
Last month, Microsoft announced a UK partnership with Sky to show the satellite firm's live and on-demand content on Xbox Live.
Similar to the Sky deal, French Xbox gamers will be able to utilise social networking technologies to engage with each other while watching Canal+ content.
Microsoft and the Vivendi-owned company have also said that the partnership could grow to other platforms in the future.
