An announcement in The New York Times by Joshua Atkins, a designer for Lionhead Studios, mentioned that he was working on the unconfirmed title.
According to Kotaku, the announcement read: "Mr. Atkins, 34, is the lead game designer for Fable III, a video game series produced by Lionhead Studios in Guildford, England."
Earlier this year, Jonathan Ross was asked to do voice work for the title after the video game Baftas.
Neither Microsoft nor Lionhead have confirmed the development of the game.
