The title was hinted for development earlier this year after designer Tim Schafer awkwardly avoided questions of its existence in an interview with 1Up.
While it was never officially announced, the Electronic Arts game has been canned due to "quality and technical concerns", according to Destructoid.
The 360 and PS3 edition, which will feature the voice of Jack Black, will be released in October.
