Universal signs up for 'U-Sing' game
Universal Music has agreed a deal with Mindscape to provide songs for a new karaoke game on the Wii called U-Sing, according to MCV.

The record label will open up its back catalogue for the game, which will take on the long-running SingStar franchise.

Buoyed by the deal, Mindscape will independently publish the title with a view to releasing it in the UK and Europe in time for Christmas.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "U-Sing will offer the whole family the chance to sing the hits of Universal Music - from the biggest known classics through to the latest trendy tunes."

Last month, Universal and Virgin Media unveiled plans to launch a new unlimited music download service for the cable operator's customers.
