Entitled Reborn, the pack will enable players to take on the role of special soldier Foxtrot 813 to experience the main story from a different angle.
Speaking to IGN, the studio's associate producer Lucas Myers revealed that the content will include four different levels and take about two hours to play through.
Myers also indicated that new Xbox 360 Achievements and PS3 Trophies will be on offer from the DLC.
F.E.A.R 2's Armored Front pack was released back in May, including two multiplayer maps for the price of 540 Microsoft Points or £3.99 on the PlayStation Network.
