Being developed by Blade Interactive, the game is the latest instalment in the only official video game series of the World Snooker circuit.
Gamers will be able to play at various top venues around the world, including Sheffield's Crucible and the new location of Bahrain, with commentary coming from Steve Davis, John Virgo and John Parrot.
Using the Wii Remote as a cue, players will compete in different tournaments to increase their position on the world rankings, with a range of new features including eight ball, nine ball and three ball pool championships, the Golden Cue event and a coaching mode.
World Snooker Championship Real 09 will be released exclusively for the Wii on August 28.
