Xbox Dashboard update now live
The August Xbox Dashboard update, which has added several new features, has gone live.

Users can now browse the Avatar Marketplace, offering clothing and props for Microsoft Points.

The Games On Demand service has also launched, allowing full retail games to be downloaded on to the hard drive. The initial lineup of games includes Assassin's Creed and Burnout Paradise for £19.99.

User ratings for marketplace items, a tweaked achievement browser and faster navigation also come with the update.

Both Xbox Live Gold and Silver members will receive the mandatory update for free the next time they go online.
