According to MCV, the firm's Chris Lewis explained that the 360 commanded a 27% share of the console market in the continent.
"Our installed base is now well over nine million in Europe, where we enjoy about 27% of the current share of the console market."
He also said that Microsoft's second game's console was the only machine to show positive growth in the current financial year.
"This calendar year, we're the only console showing positive growth. That's 22% on the first half against a market that is down to a similar margin overall. So we are bucking that trend."
Lewis's comments echo that of Microsoft's Don Mattrick, who recently claimed that he expected "360 growth to continue to accelerate" over the year ahead.
