Slimline PlayStation 3 announced
Sony has announced a slim version of the PlayStation 3 console at its gamescom 2009 conference.

The machine will be 33% lighter and smaller, and come in a matte finish.

As well as a 120GB hard drive, DS can reveal that the console will add the Bravia Sync feature, allowing control of the XMB through a television remote, and the removal of additional operating system installations. A vertical stand will also be made available.

It will be priced at £249.99 in the UK, and $299 and €299 when it launches during the first week of September.
