Tim Curry will lend his voice to Bioware's upcoming RPG Dragon Age: Origins.

He will play villain Arl Rendon, who will be "cultured and charming, with an insatiable lust for power, who never hesitates to harm anyone who gets in his way", according to a statement issued to Eurogamer.

He recently joined the voice cast of Brutal Legend and played the Russian prime minister in live-action scenes for last year's Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

Science-fiction actors Tim Russ, Claudia Black and Kate Mulgrew will also supply voice work for the fantasy role-playing game.

Dragon Age: Origins will be released on PC and 360 on November 6.
