"Valkyria Chronicles received widespread critical acclaim when it launched on PS3 last year. It has quickly become one of our most respected franchises, so we're delighted to be able to continue the saga on the PSP," said Gary Knight, European marketing director for Sega.
The original Valkyria Chronicles was released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive last year. It was critically acclaimed by the gaming press and is widely considered to be one of the best RPGs of 2008.
Valkyria Chronicles II will arrive on the PSP in summer 2010.
