Street Fighter IV received widespread critical acclaim when it was released back in February for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Writing on the SF IV official blog, Capcom's Natsuki Shiozawa promised to announce more details soon about a sequel to the title.
However, it is unclear whether this will be Street Fighter V or a special edition of SF IV, such as the Turbo and Super versions previously seen in the franchise.
Back in June, Capcom's community manager Seth Killian also suggested that a Wii port of SF IV could be on the cards.
