The playable teaser will be released for Xbox 360 and PC on October 27, according to Joystiq.
As with the demo for the first game last year, split-screen and online multiplayer will be included.
It was added that those who have pre-ordered the game will gain access to the demo first, but no dates were specified.
The news was part of EA's conference at Toyko Game Show 2009, which also saw the Crash Course DLC dated for the original L4D.
Left 4 Dead 2 will arrive on 360 and PC on November 17.
