Inafune derides Japanese games industry

Speaking at a Dead Rising 2 press event, Inafune stated that the new titles being shown at the exhibition do not bode well for the industry's future prospects.
"When I looked around all the different games at the TGS event floor, I said, 'Man, Japan is over. We're done. Our game industry is finished'," he said.
"But, just so you all don't think that the game industry is finished, Capcom is doing our best. I wanted to [have] this party and show you there are still some kickass games out there coming from Japan."
Inafune is a big believer that Japanese studios should think globally, a mission he has tried to foster at Capcom, including Dead Rising 2 being produced in collaboration with Canadian developer Blue Castle.
