'Super Street Fighter IV' confirmed
Capcom has confirmed recent rumours that it will release standalone special edition Super Street Fighter IV in spring 2010.

Speaking to GameSpot, the title's producer Yoshinori Ono revealed that the Super edition will introduce "about eight" new and returning characters, including Korean female Tae Kwon Do warrior Juri and fan favourite T-Hawk, who last appeared in the arcade version of Super Street Fighter II.

The release will offer new stages and an improved online experience, while the production team is also trying to implement the often requested bonus stages.

Despite previous suggestions that the release would be just downloadable content, Ono said that the "huge" scale of the update necessitated a boxed release.

However, he promised that the game would not cost the same as a normal title, but would rather carry the "price you would expect" from DLC.

Even though it will not require a copy of Street Fighter IV to run, Ono said that there would be a bonus offered in Super Street Fighter IV for anyone who retained their disc.
