'Tekken' heading for iPhone?

Speaking to the Washington Post, Jonathan Kromray revealed that the studio is exploring the possibility of developing a Tekken title for the Apple system.
"It's not about the genre, per se, it's about being able to get the game mechanics right," he said. "If we can take Tekken and make it really fun to play on the iPhone, then we will. We do have a back cataloge of Japanese games that we're working on, as well as some new IP."
The Tekken series is one of Namco's most profitable properties. Making its debut in Japanese arcades in 1994, the franchise has since spawned multiple sequels across a wide range of platforms.
Namco is currently prepping Tekken 6 for release on the PSP. It is due to debut later this year.
