According to Japanese gaming website Game.Watch, the studio unveiled the video during its iPhone presentation at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
No further details on the adaptation were revealed, but it is thought to be a remake, comprising elements of PSP release Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins and SNES classic Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts.
Debuting in arcades in 1988, Ghouls 'N Ghosts pits the players as the knight Sir Arthur, who embarks on a quest to rescue his lover from the demon Lucifer. It was renowned for its level of difficulty, requiring the player to complete each stage twice in order to beat the game.
Capcom is expected to make an official announcement on the game in the coming months.
