New DS to be announced in 2010?
nVidia has won a contract to provide chips for a Nintendo DS successor.

The system will use the Tegra, a graphics chip used in the Zune HD and other mobile devices, according to Bright Side Of News.

CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said that the follow-up will debut in late 2010, possibly to coincide with the Tokyo Game Show.

It has also been speculated that the architecture of the chip will allow backwards compatibility with existing DS software.

Huang further hopes that the chip will provide half of the company's revenue over the next few years.
