PS3 cross-game chat on its way?
Published Thursday, Oct 15 2009, 14:11 BST | By Matthew Reynolds

A staff member from Naughty Dog replied to a user on the official PlayStation forums, stating that the feature will be added in the next firmware update.
"Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies [sic] positions," he said, according to VG247.
The forum post has since been deleted, but the apparent leak corroborates with a source at the website that the 3.10 update will enable voice chat later this month.
The last major update, version 3.0, added avatars and reorganised the friend and trophy lists.
It was later patched after several software issues.
