Sony unveils 'GOW III: Ultimate Edition'

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has unveiled a forthcoming special edition of God Of War III featuring collectables and digital content.

Released in March next year, the God Of War III: Ultimate Edition will include a copy of the highly-anticipated game and a limited-edition art book packaged in a sculpted replica of Pandora's Box.

Priced at $99.99 (£60), the pack will also contain a feature-length documentary about the history of the franchise - titled God Of War: Unearthing The Legend - along with the God Of War trilogy soundtrack and Heavy Metal EP.

The Ultimate Edition will further give access to the exclusive God Of War: Combat Arena featuring seven online challenges over the PlayStation Network.

"The God Of War franchise has an incredibly loyal fanbase and we know they will be extremely excited with all the exclusive content and memorabilia we've packed into God Of War III: Ultimate Edition," said SCEA vice president of marketing Scott Steinberg.

"With fans waiting patiently for the arrival of God Of War III for the PS3, we wanted to make sure their anticipation was properly rewarded."

Anyone pre-ordering the God Of War III: Ultimate Edition will also receive a free PSN voucher code to download the game's E3 demo.
