The Left 4 Dead 2 demo has been made available to all Xbox Live Gold and Steam users.
Set in the New Orleans French Quarter, the demo takes players through two stages with others online or through split-screen co-operative play.
The sequel will include new special infected, melee weapons, four modes and five new campaigns set in the southern states of the USA.
Xbox Live Silver members will be able to download the demo from November 10.
Left 4 Dead 2 will launch on November 17 for PC and 360.
