iPhone store passes 100,000 app mark

Downloads from the mobile service have also reached over two billion, according to GamesIndustry.biz.
Games have accounted for the majority of applications, amounting to 19.6% of all content.
The company cited the platform's wide reach for its success. Over 50 million iPhone and iPod Touch devices are available worldwide, and the store is accessible to 77 countries.
It was recently confirmed that downloadable content can now be purchased from free applications.
