EA hints at 'Medal Of Honour' reboot
Electronic Arts has dropped a hint that it will soon reboot the acclaimed Medal Of Honour first-person shooter franchise.

According to Joystiq, EA Games boss Frank Gibeau wants to rejuvenate the firm's core original properties as a key strategy going forward.

During a conference call, he said: "In the months ahead, you'll hear more about our plans to revitalise core IP, including the Medal Of Honour franchise."

Back in August, EA president John Riccitiello also suggested that a new Medal Of Honour title is "somewhere out there". He added that the publisher would be ready to discuss the development "in due course".

The Medal Of Honour series is widely believed to have set the standard for World War II FPS games in 2002 with Medal Of Honour: Allied Assault, but it has recently been sidelined by Activision's hugely successful Call Of Duty franchise.
