BBFC listing confirms 'Sonic Collection'
Rumours that Sega is about to announce a new Sonic compilation for the Nintendo DS or PlayStation 3 have begun to intensify.

Reports began to circulate when the British Board of Film Classification included a listing for Sonic Classic Collection on its website. The release is said to contain the original game, its two sequels and Sonic & Knuckles.

An image gallery, a 'History Of Sonic' video and a trailer for Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood are listed among its bonus features.

The inclusion of the trailer for the DS-exclusive RPG has fuelled speculation that the compilation will be released for the Nintendo platform, while other sources have cited a leaked Sega document which detailed a 'Best Of Sonic' Blu-ray for PS3.

Sega has previously released the Sonic Mega Collection for PS2, GameCube, Xbox and PC in 2006. The more obscure titles in the series were reissued with the Sonic Gems disc the previous year.
