The futuristic racer was awarded an all-time lowest score of 11%, beating the previous record holder Hotel For Dogs, which was given 12%.
"Wheelspin is one of the worst games we've ever played," the review read. "On paper the game sounds like an impressive achievement... In practice it falls apart quicker than a roll of toilet paper in a car wash."
ONM described the handling as "atrocious", the frequency of collisions as "ridiculous", and the split-screen multiplayer mode as "as fun as having a bath with defensive hedgehogs".
Wheelspin was released in North America in July, before arriving in Europe and other PAL territories in September. It currently holds a Metacritic score of 53 out of 100.
