Continuing the retro visual style of 2008's Mega Man 9, the follow-up will feature eight new levels and bosses, according to Nintendo Power.
The magazine also confirmed that a computer and lava-themed stage will be included, as well as a boss named Sheep Man.
Along with Mega Man, Proto Man will be playable from the start of the game, as will an unannounced third character.
The title is to be released on WiiWare. There is no word yet on other downloadable services or a release date.
