Gaming industry figures honoured by Queen
A number of video game industry figures have been included in the Queen's New Year's honours list.

Sports Interactive founders Paul and Oliver Collyer, who created Championship Manager and currently work on the Football Manager titles, are to be made MBEs.

The brothers, who founded Sports Interactive in 1992, published a statement on their company's official website saying that the honour was unexpected.

"We are really proud to have been given this honour, which is something we never thought would happen to us," they wrote.

Other figures recognised in the list include Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens, who is to be honoured with a CBE, and ELSPA's Paul Jackson, who will receive an OBE.
