Speaking at CES 2010, Sony Computer Entertainment chief Kaz Hirai outlined plans to bring the online storefront to other hardware, including Blu-ray players, Sony televisions and PCs.
The exec also announced the formation of a new studio called Sony Network Entertainment, created specifically for this purpose. Hirai will helm the operation.
PSN's video service will be available through networked Bravia televisions and Blu-ray devices beginning next month. PC users will also be able to log in and purchase content via their computers.
Back in June, it was reported that the PlayStation Network would expand beyond gaming devices, but the plans were not expected to come into fruition until the spring.
