Published Thursday, Jan 28 2010, 16:32 GMT | By Andrew Laughlin

Alongside the standard boxed release, the title will also get a limited edition featuring access to an in-game automatic shotgun, along with four cards by Russian painter Anton Grechko, who created artwork for the game.
Both editions are available now for pre-order, with certain selected retailers offering Metro 2033 Xbox Live Avatars for anyone who does so.
Developed by Ukrainian studio 4A Games, Metro 2033 is set in the subway system under the Russian capital in the year 2033, two decades after a devastating apocalypse has annihilated nearly all mankind.
Players will take on the role of young survivor Artyom, who must venture out on to the desolate wastelands above in order to safeguard the future of the human race.
